Technical Details
The protocol optimization can improve the efficiency of traffic that uses the HTTP and FTP protocols, as well as general TCP traffic. Byte caching stores files and other data on the @SEAoptimizer™ unit and reduces the amount of data transmitted across the WAN. Web caching stores web pages on the @SEAoptimizer™ unit to reduce latency and delays between the WAN and web servers. This means that any web content or file stored in the unit on board can be reused by any user or any file that sends or receives the same data over your network. Whether someone on board requests a file that has been renamed or use a web-based application, any traffic that has already been across the network will not be retransmitted. |
