Thursday 12, September 2019

In the framework of the ASTEL-S4 interdepartmental agreement, the Crisis and Support Centre (CDCS) and the Diplomatic Safety Department (DSD) from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs have trusted Airbus and Marlink to migrate all their satellite connections deployed worldwide in 139 countries, as well as to manage the satellite hardware and accessories stock management.

This complex technical migration has been handled in close coordination with the staff from the French Ministry.

It was successfully concluded without disturbing critical governmental missions of the Crisis and Support Centre and the Diplomatic Safety Department.

The Crisis and Support Centre and the Diplomatic Safety Department of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs have recently been included in the ASTEL-S4 agreement, allowing scope for even more coordination between the ministry, Airbus and Marlink.

The ASTEL-S4 framework agreement has been concluded for 4 years to ensure L-band communications to governmental French agencies worldwide.
