Pharming involves the silent manipulation of the Domain Name System (DNS), redirecting users to fake websites that appear identical to the legitimate ones.

- A spoofed electronic chart portal delivers malware instead of navigation data
- A fuel ordering platform is compromised and used to harvest login credentials
- Navigation data is rerouted to an incorrect IP address, disrupting voyage planning
