Support Engineer (EEG) - Global

Job description, responsibilities and duties
Support Engineer provides remote support for the Marlink Enterprise, Energy, Government Business Unit customers and their communication networks and services. The Support Engineer helps customers to use their internet connection and related services by providing the following activities:
- Technical support via phone and e-mails for communication products (data, voice services)
- Communication with Customers, Field Engineers, Suppliers
- Follow up and Troubleshooting of network failures reported by customers or automatic monitoring systems; escalation when needed to 2nd/3rd level
- Active role in Incident management process
- Active role in Request fulfilment process
- Remote service testing and activation
- Analysing data records
- Internal databases updating
Initial contract will be fixed-term for a 1 year. After mutual agreement the contract can be changed to permanent.

Personality requirements and skills
- Good knowledge of Telecommunication Networks and IT terminology
- Cisco CCNA or Fortinet certifications or equivalent are an advantage
- Good English speaking and writing skills
- Good French speaking and writing skills are advantage - not a must
- Good Spanish speaking and writing skills are advantage - not a must
- Good communications skills and ability to cooperate with different teams
- Good at analysing complex issues to find creative, logical, and effective solutions
- Well organised, detail-oriented, and accurate
- Able to handle stress and able to work under time pressure
- Customer-oriented
- Able to set priorities
- Comply with agreements
Contract type: Full-time
Start: ASAP
Salary conditions (gross): from 1700 EUR/month.
The given salary is the minimum offered to new employees. The starting salary depends on the educational background and experience in a similar technical position. It is further reviewed after the successful completion of the probation period. The annual bonus is based on personal and company performance.
