Environmental, Social and Governance
making a difference today for the next generations
At Marlink, we believe that the future depends on the actions we take today. That’s why sustainability is embedded in everything we do: from how we power our operations to how we empower our people.
We are actively strengthening our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework with expanded data collection and alignment with international standards such as ISO 14001 and the UN Global Compact Principles. We focus on reuse, refurbishment, and responsible waste management, wherever possible.
Delivering Possibilities. Responsibly
Our priority is the well-being of our employees and the communities in which we operate; implementing measures to ensure the safety and welfare of our staff, as well as supporting local communities to promote talent development and aid their economy.
We’re committed to delivering with integrity at every level of our business. Through strong governance and careful oversight, we ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical behaviour in everything we do. Our goal is to earn the trust of our stakeholders and help shape a more sustainable and equitable future.

Our commitment to protecting the environment lies at the heart of our business and our teleport sites stand proof. At Marlink, we embed climate resilience and environmental stewardship at every level of our operations and communities, safeguarding Marlink’s assets while proactively adapting to evolving climate challenges and fostering environmental and social awareness.
Aussaguel, France
At our Aussaguel teleport, we’re blending innovation with nature. We teamed up with a local farmer to let sheep and goats graze the land, keeping the grass, woodlands and the animals healthy. Our solar panels not only power electric vehicles, but they also give the sheep much needed shade from the South of France sun.
And with our composting program, employees can bring food scraps from home, making it easy to live sustainably both at work and beyond.
Eik, Norway
At our Eik site, we’ve made smart upgrades to cut down our environmental impact—like replacing all 600 lamps with LEDs, saving 300,000 kWh a year. We’ve rolled out a new waste management system that includes regular environmental reviews to ensure safe and sustainable operations.
In Norway we’re also active in the local community, supporting events like Small Town Flekkefjord, the Egersund career fair, and Girl Tech Fest to inspire and connect with students and businesses.
Palma, Spain
Palma’s teleport is situated in a high-temperature region prone to wildfires and flashfloods, which is why we’ve put smart site maintenance in place, like trenching and drainage upgrades, to protect our operations.
We’ve also built a strong partnership over the years with the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). Together, we’re working on sustainability projects and supporting students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), helping shape the next generation of talent.
Charting our progress
At Marlink, we see transparency as a strategic responsibility. In today’s global landscape, stakeholders expect clarity and accountability in how companies manage their environmental, social, and governance impacts.
Our disclosures reflect where we are and where we’re going. They are part of a broader commitment to continuous improvement, responsible business conduct, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.
