1. GENERAL

This privacy notice contains information about why and how personal data is processed in the Marlink Field Reporting App. Marlink complies with obligations resulting from the European regulations (e.g. the GDPR as per May 2018) and, as applicable, with any local laws and regulations concerning how individual personal data is collected, processed and used.

2. WHY IS MARLINK COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Marlink SAS, located at 137 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis, 75010, Paris, France, acting as data controller, collects and further processes personal information relating its employees as well as the employees of its Field Service partners and of its customers, for itself and for its group companies.

Marlink processes such personal information for the purpose of operating and improving its field services. Such processing is based on Marlink’s legitimate interest, which is to comply with its obligations toward its customers and deliver the best service possible.

3. INFORMATION BEING PROCESSED

No sensitive personal data is stored or processed in the Field Reporting App, only data required for evidencing a completed field service job.

The personal data that may be registered and processed, depending on the concerned field service, are:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Company name
  • Signature

Furthermore, information may be obtained about your use of the Field Reporting App and related websites. When you enter the Field Reporting App, information about your device(s). IP address, operating system and browser type, may for example be collected. This information generally comprises data which does not allow individual identification of information related to a specific user.

Aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data may also be collected, used and shared for any purpose. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data by law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, your usage data may be aggregated to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific feature. However, if such aggregated data is combined or connected with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, the combined data will be treated as personal data which will be used only in accordance with this privacy notice.

4. SHARING OF DATA

No personal data will be shared with third parties.

5. WHERE IS YOUR DATA PROCESSED?

Marlink is an international group of legal entities with affiliates in various countries in which it operates. Marlink may transfer your personal data within the group to one of its affiliates or to its external partners located outside of your home country, or to its clients.

The countries where these data recipients are located may not provide for a data protection regulation equivalent to European countries. Therefore, Marlink will ensure to set appropriate data protection safeguards to protect your personal information.

6. STORING OF PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data will not be stored longer than is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were obtained.

7. RIGHT TO VIEW, CORRECT AND DELETE PERSONAL DATA

You have the right to view the personal data we have registered on you and that we process. Under ‘User profile’ at the Field Reporting App you may check all the personal data that have been registered. It is important that the personal data registered are correct, and you have the right to have incorrectly registered data to be corrected.

You have the right to have your personal data deleted if you should wish to do so, and this will be done when the data are no longer required in order to comply with statutory or regulatory requirements.

8. CHANGES

This privacy notice may change over time and we will inform you if significant changes are made.
